This book presents the work of the research results developed by the research cooperation between the Università Politecnica delle Marche (Italy), HTWG Konstanz (Germany), Reutlingen University (Germany) and the British University of Cairo (Egypt). The topics of the research work are signal detection, acquisition and processing, platforms and applications processing vital data, physiological measurement, low power wearable sensors, algorithm design for pattern classification, real-time data mining.
