Capsule Bio

Agnese Sbrollini is a Consortium GARR fellowship student hosted by Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) since November 2018. She is working on a project entitled “In-Cloud Cardiovascular Monitoring System for the Prevention of Sport-Related Sudden Cardiac Death”.
She received the PhD in Information Engineering in March 2019 at Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) with a thesis entitled “Biostatics of Cardiac Signals: Theory & Applications”.
In 2017, she stayed for 3 months at Leiden University Medical Center (Leiden, Netherlands) for the Erasmus + Traneeship, working on a project entitled “Application of neural network techniques in serial electrocardiogram diagnosis: a feasibility study”.
She received the Degree in Biomedical Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Torino, Italy) in December 2014 and the bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering at Università Politecnica delle Marche (Ancona, Italy) in October 2012.


Research Areas

Her main research activities are focused on the application of biostatistical methods (standard and advanced) on cardiovascular signals classification and interpretation.
Her research activities mainly involve the development of 1) new tools to prevent events of Sport-Related Sudden Cardiac Death in athletes, 2) new techniques for the identification of atrial fibrillation and 3) new instruments to support the clinical practice in fetuses and newborns monitoring.
