Capsule Bio

Mir Farooq Ali received his BE. degree Hamdard University, Karachi Pakistan and M.Sc. degree from Università Politecnica delle Marche, Italy in 2017 and 2020 in Biomedical Engineering respectively. Currently he is a Research fellow in the department of Information Engineering in Università Politecnica delle Marche, and working under the supervision of Professor Andrea Monteriù on the project titled as “Study and development of intelligent robotic systems for the implementation of services of an advanced home automation platform for the improvement of care and social activities for frailty people”.
His specialties lie in the area of Biomedical Instrumentation and design. He has conducted a research study on the “Contactless Monitoring of Breathing Signal” project and ” Development of Human Walking Analysis system”. Both of the projects included hardware and software design for the betterment of patients. 

Research Areas:

During the year 2021, he has worked in the Materials engineering laboratory of Università Politecnica delle Marche where he was part of a research team that was involved in Exploiting the material properties of newly discovered Ferroelectric Nematic Liquid Crystals. The article titled “Explosive electrostatic instability of ferroelectric liquid droplets on ferroelectric solid surfaces” was published in “Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS)”.
