  • Title:
    Electronic Smart Systems for Healthcare

  • Keywords:

Sleep , Heartrate and breathing rate monitoring

  • Description:

Healthy and good sleep is a prerequisite for a rested mind and body. To this aim it is useful continuous monitoring of vital signs during sleep in a patient’s home environment over long periods of time using exclusively non-invasive technologies. A specifically designed electronic system is used to monitor sleep , heartrate and breathing rate using accelerometer and force sensors placed under the mattress. It offers an opportunity to increase the quality of life in an aging society by placing the collection of sleep data at the center of the analysis and making the data available for medical evaluations.
